Sri KDU International School Subang Jaya is located in the outskirts of the safe, modern and vibrant capital city of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We are a growing FOBISIA and COBIS associate member school, in our seventh academic year, and we are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join us as a Physical Education Teacher. As a Teacher of Physical Education, your primary responsibility is to ensure that all aspects of the Sri KDU global teaching standards are translated into daily classroom practice. You are expected to create an environment where every student assigned to you feels valued and empowered. Qualifications and Experience: 1. A degree in Physical Education, or a related field. 2. Teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE) is highly desirable. 3. Proven experience teaching PE at the primary/secondary level. 4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 5. A commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for teaching. Additional Responsibilities for Physical Education: 1. Teach Physical Education to children in the age range of EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) to Year 13, ensuring that the curriculum aligns with the development stages of the students. 2. Foster a positive and inclusive environment for physical education that accommodates the diverse abilities and needs of all students, including those with special requirements. 3. Develop and implement a comprehensive physical education curriculum that promotes physical fitness, motor skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship. 4. Encourage students to participate in a variety of physical activities, promoting a healthy and active lifestyle. 5. Organise and oversee sporting events, competitions, and tournaments within the school, helping to create a culture of competitiveness and sportsmanship. 6. Identify and nurture students' athletic talents and interests, providing opportunities for them to excel in various sports. 7. Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate physical education into co-curricular activities, emphasising the importance of physical health and well-being. 8. Participate in coaching and mentoring students in various sports teams, helping them to develop their skills and reach their full potential. 9. Promote an understanding of the benefits of sports and physical activity, both within the school community and beyond, including through community engagement and partnerships.
