Shiprepair Mechanic

Skilled and experienced Vessel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of marine vessels. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, engines, and other equipment used on ships, boats, and other watercraft. Key Responsibilities: Maintenance & Repair: Perform regular maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on various types of marine vessels, including engines, propulsion systems, steering systems, and auxiliary machinery. Diagnostics: Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues on vessels using appropriate tools, equipment, and diagnostic software. Installation & Upgrades: Install and upgrade mechanical systems and components on vessels as needed, ensuring compliance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Safety Compliance: Ensure all repairs and maintenance work is conducted in accordance with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used. Prepare reports as required by management. Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels of parts and supplies required for vessel maintenance and repairs. Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including engineers and technicians, to ensure efficient and effective repair and maintenance operations. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to vessel owners and operators, explaining repair needs and providing cost estimates as required.
