Job Purpose • Monitors and controls the safe and cost-efficient technical operation of all assigned vessels using the available resources, within the defined parameters of cost, commercial viability, and operational excellence in line with Owners' expectations. Ensure environmental compliance policies are upheld. Key Responsibilities • Report to the Head of Technical Ship technical support: • Understands the contractual agreements with customers to be able to deliver the same with regards to the ship management services for each assigned vessel, in a safe and cost efficient manner. • Keeps close contact with clients, maintains good working relationships with client representatives who are involved in the operations of the company's vessels • Provides technical and operational support to assigned vessels • Perform additional tasks as required, including overseas assignments. Safety of Operations: • Monitors the effective operation of the equipment and machinery of the assigned vessels, identifying potential discrepancies from operational standards and proposes and/or implements solutions that will enhance the efficiency, performance and safety of the vessels. • Participates in the development of the maintenance and repairs plan for the assigned vessels and monitors its accurate execution • Arranges and executes Drydock activities at regular intervals • Develops, maintains, monitors and reports budgets for all assigned vessels • Monitors all vessels trading certificates to ensure compliance with existing maritime legislation, safety regulations and operational standard requirements of all regulatory bodies. Execution of technical inspections / internal audits: • Manages all vessel visits, audits and inspections effectively right from planning to implementation and follow up with the aim of supporting and enhancing the operational efficiency of the assigned vessels. • Responsible for communication, promotion and implementation of company's health, safety, environment and quality policy on board the vessels related to technical. • In liaison with other internal/external departments, assists and supports sea staff with alignment of technical requirements. • Assists with the Company initiatives regarding the human element • Understanding and own experiences with OSV, FSO/FPSO are substantial advantage. Specific Qualifications Required • B.S. degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Chief Engineer’s qualification or equivalent. • Over 8 years of hands-on experience in the oil & gas industry, with a strong preference for expertise in offshore marine operations globally (advantageous experience in Vietnam and Malaysia). • Understanding and own experiences with OSV, FSO/FPSO are substantial advantages • Deep expertise in working with offshore marine projects in PM-3 CAA oil fields (Malaysia) and/or in Vietnamese waters are significant advantages. • Demonstrated knowledge and successful execution of development strategies within the offshore marine sector. • Ability to handle regular exchange of information and navigate difficult conversations effectively with offshore/onshore teams. • Understanding and own experiences with OSV, FSO/FPSO are substantial advantage. • Advanced proficiency in English and Vietnamese is required.
