Compounding Operator

GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION Responsible in controls equipment to prepare chemical constituents of synthetic rubber for synthesis by other workers, following formulas and maintaining reactions within prescribed limits. They weighs solid materials according to formula, using scale. Ensure all make-up solution preparation prepared as per standard operating procedures. Also to ensure the preparation to be done before solution run dry. RESPONSIBILITIES & SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES 1. Ensure fingernails are short so that possible accidental tearing of gloves is avoided. 2. To report to immediate superior immediately on problems pertaining to your job. 3. To follow the company’s Safety & Health rules and policy. 4. To understand the implications of improper job performance. 5. To know the company’s GMP, Hygiene rules and other do’s and don’ts. 6. To take proper care when using the toilets and other facilities provided. 7. To understand and comply with SOPs related to assigned tasks. 8. To take due care by following all Safety, Health & Environment standards, rules and instructions. 9. To wear prescribed personal protective equipment and follow practices and procedures established to maintain his/her and others safety and health. 10. To promptly report any unsafe acts or conditions, accidents near miss accidents or incidents. 11. To develop and practice good habits of personal hygiene and housekeeping at all times. 12. To obey company’s rules and regulations, disciplinary procedures and any general instructions issued by the management from time to time. 13. Be at work station (Senior Supervisor Office) at least 5 minutes before start of shift and communicate with Senior Supervisor together with outgoing make-up operator. 14. All solution prepared to be sent for laboratory check and approved before release for dipping use. 15. To control usages of chemical as budgeted and inform Senior Supervisor if high usages of chemical used daily. 16. To monitor on all chemical usage and concentration. 17. Any latex drop for color changed or cleaning purpose to be send immediately to compounding with label. 18. Weekly and monthly chemical stocktake. 19. To perform any other job as assigned by the superior or management.
