Boilerman (G2)

*CANDIDATE MUST HAVE G2 TO APPLY* Work of this class involves the operation, maintenance, and repair of a high-pressure steam boiler used in thawing ice-plugged catch basins and culverts. Incumbents are responsible for monitoring pressures within specific limits and ensuring safe operation. Responsibilities include the maintenance, repair, and replacement of parts for the boiler and related controls. Performs routine cleaning and maintenance of boiler components; tubes, firebox, etc. Performs repair and parts replacements as required to pass boiler inspection and ensure safe operation. Fires the boiler up with coal prior to crew arrival at work and cleans the firebox daily. 1 To maintain & operate the boilers ensure running in good conditions & operate in the most effective & efficient manner in daily operation 2 Control, monitor & upkeep the boiler operations data and safety aspect in compliance with the Factory and Machinery Act 1967 3 To schedule and implement periodic preventive maintenance to reduce unexpected Boiler downtime 4 To monitor and maintain consistency of Boiler, to lengthen the Boiler life span and to avoid loss of production 5 To Ensure efficient operation of Steam Boilers. Production processes such as Printing and others 6 To ensure safety working environment clean working area & maintain good housekeeping maintenance of boiler house 7 To make monthly inventory reports, maintenance report, Boiler Log sheet 8 To ensure a safe, comfortable and clean working area by periodic maintenance of the areas in and surrounding the Boiler House. 9 To implement 5S activities within the workplace and machinery. 10 To Repair work for plant equipment. 11 Support teammates in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. 12 Carry out dismantling, installation replacement work for faulty equipment or service equipment. 13 Positive working attitude. 14 Willing to learn new thing. 13 Any ad-hoc task assigned by a superior. 14 Must have certificate G2
