Technician

1. To operate and oversee the daily operation of the Industrial Effluent treatment system, ensuring the smooth operation of IETS. 2. To perform routine IETS performance monitoring on the significant parameters based on the DOE regulations and standards. 3. To perform regular maintenance tasks on equipment such as pumps, filters, air blowers, chemical dosing pumps, air compressor and any other equipment, ensuring the system in optimal working condition. 4. To perform routine calibration for simple instruments such as pH sensors. 5. To troubleshoot the effluent treatment system to identify the cause of the problem and implement solutions to resolve it promptly. This may involve conducting tests, analyzing data, and inspecting equipment. 6. To prepare and refill the EITS chemicals if any and to ensure sufficient use of chemicals during the daily IETS operation. 7. To maintain accurate records of system performance, chemical stock, schedule waste stock inventory, maintenance activities, and regulatory compliance to provide documentation for audits and reporting requirements. 8. To liaise with scheduled waste collectors for scheduled waste sludge disposal and third-party accredited labs for weekly final discharge lab analysis; to update on the OER and eSwis DOE website.
