CNC Machinist

1. Monitors product quality and cycletime, adjusting feed and other settings as necessary. 2. Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, router, materials, specifications, drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T). 3. Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes. 4. Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces; adhering to SOP. 5. Documents actions by completing production and quality logs. 6. Determine the fixtures, attachments and tools necessary to complete jobs according to specifications, and mount them to machine prior to beginning cutting. 7. Able to do programming for the CNC machines. 8. Able to work under minimum supervision. 9. Able to work under pressure. 10. Any other ad-hoc task assigned by superior from time to time.
