QA/QC Chemist

1. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES AND SCOPE OF POSITION (a) Quality Control and Assurance • To plan and do testing related to necessary formulation adjustment for quality control of the manufactured products. • To conduct analytical analysis on QC Results • To ensure raw material used for production meets all specifications. • To conduct test and product confirmation for OEM product. • To co-operate with the purchasing team/liaise with supplier to source out new raw material, conduct evaluation, plan for testing and audit the supplier to confirm the performance from time to time. • To ensure that Quality Control (QC) must be conducted strictly in accordance to the standard testing procedures and ensure all products meet the specifications. • To plan, organize and monitor daily activities to be performed by Lab Assistant. • To do technical support or customer complaint evaluation from time to time and upon request. Customer’s site visit for investigation or demo may need to be attended depending on request and complaint’s situation. • Assist with production activities as required. • Maintain clean and orderly assigned area(s) • Laboratory environment requiring the ability to carry out laboratory operating procedures in a safe manner, while maintaining a clean an orderly workspace • Work effectively with computer software and hardware, including analytical instrument, spreadsheet and word processing applications. • To do proper documentation and reporting of quality control (QC) and quality analysis (QA) findings according to the ISO 9001/14001. (b) Research & Development Work – Product Improvement • To plan & do all research & development for product improvement works requested by Assistant Technical Manager (ATM) and Technical Manager (TM). • To co-operate with the sales team to assist with planning, conduct testing based on product improvement request with the guide from ATM, TM and HOD where required. • To do proper documentation and reporting of product development findings according to the ISO 9001/14001. (c) ISO9001/14001 • To adhere and strictly follow ISO 9001/14001 requirements. (d) Compliance & Company Policies • To ensure Zero violation to the regulation & law. • Issues pertaining to policies, strategies affecting other divisions and the company as a whole, and capital expenditures shall be referred to the HOD Technical and the Managing Director for discussion and agreement before implementation. 2) KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS (a) Bachelor/Degree holder in Chemistry Engineering or its equivalent. (b) The job requires an individual with basic organizational and good interpersonal skills. Willing to share expertise with others. (c) Computer literate. (d) Language proficiency in English.
