The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing all costs associated with construction projects, from initial estimates to final accounts. The QS will work closely with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Key Responsibilities: • Prepare overall project budgets, construction costs, progress claims/payment, variation orders and final accounts are prepared. • Checking and auditing of bills of quantities and other tender documents. • Ensure tender procedures and contract arrangements are complied with company policies and procedures. • Organize the registration of contractors and the shortlisting of contractors of tenders. • Organize the calling of tenders, check tender evaluation and preparation of award reports. • Participate in pre-contract negotiations and tender interviews. • Source for pricing from supplier/contractor and work out competitive tender prices. • Regular cost monitoring of projects including variations to ensure construction cost are within the agreed budgets. • Any other ad-hoc requirements that are relevant. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field (Fresh graduates are preferred). • Knowledge of construction practices, techniques, and equipment. • Experience with cost estimating, budgeting, and financial forecasting. • Knowledge of construction contracts • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Flexibility to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
