Chef Cook

Job Summary We are looking for a Chef/Cook to prepare savoury foods and assist in expanding our menu. The ideal candidate will create dishes according to the cafe’s needs, maintain the highest standards of food preparation, and ensure a clean and organised kitchen environment. Key Responsibilities - Prepare and cook daily food orders. - Ensure full compliance with cafe SOPs and maintain the highest standards of food, service, quality, and cleanliness. - Create new menu items and provide input for menu development. - Monitor stock levels and inform the manager when supplies are low or depleted. - Receive deliveries, verify quality, and properly store ingredients following food safety standards. - Maintain a clean and organised kitchen by performing regular cleaning duties (sweeping, mopping, wiping surfaces, etc.). - Assist with basic preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, and seasoning meats and vegetables. - Ensure the plating and presentation of food is visually appealing and consistent with Kopi Jojo’s standards. - Serve customers efficiently when needed and ensure excellent customer service. - Manage the kitchen and assist in overseeing dining area operations when other staff are unavailable. - Ensure proper sanitation of all food prep areas, appliances, and tools. Requirements - Open to Malaysian citizens only. - Minimum 1 year of experience in a fast-food chain, restaurant, or similar environment. - Creative and able to come up with new food ideas when required. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with good time management skills. - Ability to communicate clearly and engage with customers in a positive and professional manner. - Available to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays. - Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
