Boiler Man 1st Grade

1. Operate the steam boiler according to the required operations parameters. 2. To perform daily checks on a boiler’s motor, pump, fan and other related valves and fitting to ensure that all the equipment are running in good order (Total Preventive Maintenance). 3. To raise a job requisition in the event that any of the equipment’s needs repair, service or to be replaced and submit it to the Engineering section. 4. Ensure that the boiler premise is kept within a reasonable 5S standard and all staircase, stairwell and walkways are clear of any obstructions and all daily tools and or accessories used for the daily operations or maintenance of the boiler is kept in good order. 5. To carry out the teardown, cleaning and maintenance of the steam boiler in preparation for the yearly audit / inspection from the relevant authorities concerned (Statutory bodies/mandatory requirement). 6. Report to the immediate superior on any urgent action that requires immediate action to be taken so as to ensure that no outward incident will happen to the boilers. 7. Involve in safety and health committee activities are compulsory. 8. Oversee the day to day operations of the boiler and ensure that the premises are maintained in tip top conditions at all times. 9. Record daily boiler operation data in logbook. 10. To perform and carry out other task and work that are assigned by the management from time to time.
