A dealer is responsible for executing trades in various financial markets on behalf of the firm or its clients. This role requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of financial instruments, and the ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Trade Execution
- Execute buy and sell orders for financial instruments such as commodities, forex and others to hedge company positions.
- Monitor market conditions to identify trading opportunities to maximize profit and minimize risk.
Market Analysis
- Conduct thorough analysis of market trends, economic data, and news events to deliver insights to clients.
- Utilize technical and fundamental analysis to assess potential trading and arbitrage opportunities.
Risk Management
- Manage risk exposure with implementing hedging strategies.
- Monitor positions to ensure compliance with risk parameters set by HOD and Management.
Client Interaction
- Communicate with clients to understand their business needs and provide market insights to them.
- Execute trades on behalf of clients and provide post-trade support.
- Solicit existing clients and add on more new clients on board to achieve bigger revenue.
Performance Tracking
- Analyse hedging performance, profitability and adjusting strategies as necessary.
- Prepare reports on P&L performance and brief market updates to HOD and management.
Collaboration
- Work closely with HOD and Management to achieve corporate profit objective.
- Liaise with compliance teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Resolve clients problems and generate value added service to clients.
- Work closely with Middle Office to ensure smooth daily operation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree or Professional Certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM, CMT) will have advantages.
- Proven experience in hedging, trading or a related financial role.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
Skills:
- Proficiency in trading platforms and financial software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform under pressure and make quick, informed decisions.
- Strong understanding of market dynamics and financial instruments.
This role is vital for the success of trading operations, as dealers are at the forefront of executing trades and managing the firm’s market presence.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
