JOB DESCRIPTION :

You will assist and deputize, the Head of Operation F&B and your outlet manager in the smooth running of the service offered in the outlet. You will have the responsibility to provide professional, efficient, maintaining sanitation standards, and cleanliness and maintain the outlet service as required on standards & procedures by utilizing technical and social skills to enhance customer satisfaction. Carry out all your duties and job functions in which you may be instructed from time to time by your superior, or persons acting on behalf of the Company. To be successful in this role, you should have customer service skills and be able to work various shifts.

  • Always greet and welcome customers promptly in a warm and friendly manner.
  • Always thank and give a fond farewell to customers conveying anticipation for their next visit.
  • Assist customers with table reservations.
  • Assist customers while seating.
  • Entails the delivery of top-quality service to customers.
  • Friendly demeanor and excellent interpersonal relationship skills to be able to relate well with customers of diverse backgrounds and statuses.
  • Able to anticipate any unexpected customers’ need and reacts promptly and tactfully. Resolving customer complaints amicably. You can refer complaints beyond your power to the appropriate superior.
  • Complete supervision of the overall service delivery in the organization is also one of your several tasks.
  • Presentable in such a way that you will give the customers a very good first impression about yourself and our organization.
  • Relate with customers all through their visit and be there to interact with them if they have to wait for long.
  • Ensure good understanding and knowledge of the menu and presentation of standard operating procedure (SOP) to the customers.
  • Should have foreknowledge about items on the menu to be able to properly inform customers about them and able to answer any questions regarding the menu and assist with menu selections.
  • Speak with customers and staff using clear and professional language, and answer phone calls using appropriate telephone etiquette.
  • Involves constant communication, both verbally and otherwise with guests, therefore, your communication skill is expected to be well horned.
  • Always applies service techniques correctly, and serves Food & Beverage items with enthusiasm.
  • Serve food courses and beverages to customers.
  • Set tables according to the type of event and service standards.
  • Should be trustworthy and reliable, since you may be saddled with the responsibility of handling cash when necessary.
  • Record transactions/orders in Point of Sales systems at the time of order.
  • Communicate with the kitchen team regarding any menu questions, the length of wait, and product availability.
  • Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
  • Check with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and beverage.
  • Responsible for clearing, collecting, and returning food and beverage items to the proper area.
  • Reviews order dockets ensuring accurate and timely preparations for order requirements accordingly.
  • Present accurate final bill to customers and process payment.
  • Perform shift closing on the Point of sales terminal and tally cash and credit card settlements.
  • Ensures that the restaurant is always kept clean and organized, both at the front as well as the back of house areas.
  • Work with fellow staff and managers to ensure that the restaurant achieves its full potential.
  • Completes the daily responsibilities that are set for each individual shift.
  • Complete closing duties, including restocking items, turning off lights, etc.
  • Conducts monthly inventory checks on all operating equipment and supplies.
  • Take an active role in coaching and developing junior staff.
  • Any other duties related to food and beverage service assigned by the manager.

Experience ad Requirement

  • Candidates with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in related fields, like the hospitality industry or hotel, are added advantage.
  • Possess top-notch communication skills in the English language.
  • Ability to properly maintain inventory.
  • Possess competence in filling all customers’ supplies.
  • Ability to manage complaints tendered by customers.
  • Ability to relate well with other members of staff towards excellent service delivery to customers.
  • Ability to maintain consistent cleanliness of the dining room serving stations.
  • Ability to answer telephone calls in the most diplomatic and soothing manner.
  • Possess excellent knowledge of restaurant service.
  • Ability to address all issues related to guest service.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts.
