Chargeman

Responsibilities and Authority:  Responsible for maintaining the generator-set and Low Voltage switch room.  To check and monitor electrical low voltage supply in term of safety, calibration and in accordance to Electrical Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga Malaysia) requirements.  Perform Regular Maintenance on LV switch room electrical system.  To implement work in accordance with preventive electrical maintenance schedule.  To inspect electrical systems and ensure everything is working properly.  To ensure problems are detected early before they compromise the low voltage system that will lead to costly and time-consuming repairs.  To maintain records of problems, malfunctions and repairs in the maintenance log sheet.  Maintain records of inspection and maintenance by recording a detailed log of job performed.  To carry out generator set routine inspection, perform load test for generator-set and maintenance of the LV (low voltage) switch room electrical panel  To trouble shoot and solve electrical problems with comprehensive repairs and ensure effective counter measure to prevent recurrence of the same problems.  Perform other duties as assigned. Job Requirement:  Preferably Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM).  Possess Certificate in A4 Chargeman Competency Certificate or higher by Suruhanjaya Tenaga Malaysia.  Preferably 3 years’ experience of working experience with related generator set maintenance experience.  Positive attitude, highly initiative and able to work independently with minimum supervision.  Those with exposure to Environmental, Safety & Health will have an advantage.
