What You’ll Do
As a Commercial Finance Lead, SEA, you will be part of our Commercial team located in Petaling, Malaysia. You will get to:
To work with cluster finance leads in the commercial best practices in reporting and analysis for the country supporting local management and business units with information that drives commercial decisions
- Monthly reporting – prepare the periodic reporting pack for monthly close for external and internal reporting. Prepares and analyzes weekly, monthly and quarterly management reports to identify issues / opportunities and develops recommendations for corrective actions.
- Budgeting/Forecast process – assist Finance Director to drive the process during budgeting and forecast through the preparation of templates and consolidation and loading of information. Supports country’s annual budget and quarterly forecast process
- Weekly Sales Forecast and SG&A Management – ownership of the sales forecast process and work with local finance to track SG&A expenditure and tasks as necessary
- Promotion Analysis – analyze impact of promotions on the profitability of the markets and drive actions to exceed OM
- Leads specific commercial analysis and projects across the country functions to drive growth and margin accretion.
- Reviews and challenges the Sales and Margin forecasts to ensure they are well supported and justified.
- Develops and implements commercial best practices, ie customer profitability, pricing, etc. for the country and local markets
- Coordinates with all functions within the country to complete required financial reporting by the region or different business units in an accurate and timely manner.
- Finance BP – partner with Singapore commercial team to
- Review and approve commercial requests including purchase request, new product pricing, promotion, customer credit, etc.,
- Prepare forecast, OP and actual variance analysis
- Assist in the development of 3-year Strategic Plan
- Prepare the accruals for rebate, sales agent commission and A&P expenses at every month-end
- Work with sales team to develop annual commercial policy and rebate terms
Who You Are

- B.S. in Accounting or Finance essential. MBA / CPA / ACCA preferred.
- 10+ years in accounting and financial reporting experience in a global corporation
- Strong knowledge of MS Office with advanced skills in Excel & PowerPoint
- Solid background in financial analysis in a commercial environment
- Strong verbal & written communication skills in English
- Good interpersonal & influencing skills to interact with all levels of the organization.
- Highly organized with the ability to complete multi-tasks in a timely manner
- High team spirit and commitment, systematic and target-oriented working style
- Must possess high level of integrity and a positive working attitude
