The distribution driver is responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. This role includes loading and unloading products, adhering to traffic regulations, and maintaining a high standard of customer service. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to representing the company positively while on the road.
Key Accountabilities:
- Safe Vehicle Operation: Safely and responsibly operate the delivery vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Timely Deliveries: Ensure all deliveries are completed on time, optimizing routes to enhance efficiency in time and fuel usage.
- Loading and Unloading Cargo: Accurately load and unload products, ensuring items are properly secured and handled with care to prevent damage.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform regular vehicle inspections, report any maintenance issues, and ensure the vehicle is clean and in good working condition.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate delivery records, including logs for mileage, fuel usage, and delivery confirmations.
- Customer Service: Professionally engage with customers during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns to ensure a positive experience.
- Compliance: Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and delivery documentation requirements.
- Communication: Maintain open communication with the logistics team and management regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Experience and Skills Required:
- Valid Driver’s License: Possession of a valid Goods Driving License (GDL) or the appropriate driver’s license for the vehicle class.
- Driving Experience: A minimum of [2 years] of professional driving experience, preferably in distribution or delivery.
- Route Planning Knowledge: Familiarity with GPS and route planning tools to ensure efficient and timely deliveries.
- Customer Service Skills: Previous experience in a customer-facing role, with strong communication skills and a commitment to providing excellent service.
- Basic Vehicle Maintenance: Understanding of basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting to identify and report issues promptly.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift and carry packages up to 12 kg and perform tasks related to loading and unloading cargo.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From RM1,500.00 per month
