Responsibilities
The Welder is responsible for performing Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) and Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) processes on various components, including boiler parts, in accordance with company standards and specifications. The role involves maintaining high welding quality, ensuring safety compliance, and supporting production efficiency in the fabrication of boilers and related equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Welding Operations:
- Perform SMAW and FCAW welding processes on carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy materials used in boiler fabrication.
- Interpret blueprints, welding specifications, and drawings to plan and execute welding tasks accurately.
- Ensure welding work meets the required standards (ASME, ISO9001) and project specifications.
- Inspect and maintain welding equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
2. Safety and Compliance:
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, ensuring compliance with OSHA, ISO45001, and company safety standards.
- Wear and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) such as welding masks, gloves, and safety glasses.
- Participate in safety drills and training to enhance safe work practices.
3. Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Production and QC teams to ensure welding tasks align with project timelines.
- Assist in the training and mentoring of junior welders and apprentices as needed.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding work progress, challenges, and required support.
4. Maintenance and Reporting:
- Perform routine maintenance on welding tools and equipment.
- Report equipment malfunctions or issues to the Supervisor or Maintenance Team for prompt resolution.
Experience / Skills Required
1. High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in welding preferred.
2. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in SMAW and FCAW welding in a manufacturing or industrial setting
3. Strong understanding of welding techniques and safety practices.
4. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, welding symbols, and work instructions.
5. Proficiency in using welding equipment and tools such as grinders, cutters, and weld gauges.

Pay: From RM2,000.00 per month
