Department: Human Resources Department
Reports To: Human Resources Assistant Manager
Job Summary: The Occupational Safety and Health Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety and health programs to ensure compliance with regulations and promote a safe working environment. This role involves coordinating training, conducting safety audits, and fostering a culture of safety within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Program Development and Implementation:
- Design and implement safety and health programs in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Regularly review and update safety policies and procedures.
2. Training and Awareness:
- Coordinate and deliver safety training for employees, including orientation and ongoing education.
- Develop training materials and resources tailored to specific needs.
3. Safety Audits and Inspections:
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and assess compliance.
- Prepare reports and recommendations based on findings.
4. Incident Management:
- Investigate workplace incidents and accidents, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions.
- Maintain records of incidents, investigations, and corrective measures.
5. Regulatory Compliance:
- Monitor changes in safety regulations and standards to ensure organizational compliance.
- Prepare for and coordinate external audits and inspections.
- Implement and follow up on legal regulatory compliance.
6. Emergency Preparedness:
- Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
- Conduct drills and training to ensure preparedness for emergencies.
7. Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze safety data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Prepare regular safety reports for management and stakeholders.
8. Safety Culture Promotion:
- Foster a culture of safety within the organization by encouraging employee participation in safety initiatives.
- Act as a resource for employees regarding safety concerns and practices.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field (preferred).
· Certification in safety management (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, CSP) is advantageous.
· Proven experience in occupational safety and health coordination, preferably in Manufacturing Environment.
Working Conditions:
· Office Work and Electronics Manufacturing Environment
· May require the use of personal protective equipment in certain environments.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
License/Certification:
- Certification in safety management (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, CSP) (Preferred)
