Job description
We are seeking an experienced and talented Head Chef to join our team at the HNF CATERING SDN BHD (Central Kitchen) in Puchong Selangor. As our Head Chef, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations and ensuring the delivery of exceptional culinary experiences for our guests.
Responsibility:
- Oversee the daily operations of the Central kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, and quality control
- Manage and mentor a team of skilled chefs and kitchen staff to ensure consistent high-quality food production
- Develop innovative and creative menu items that showcase the best of local and regional cuisines
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations
- Collaborate with the HALAL management team to align culinary offerings with the overall brand and guest experience
- Manage food and beverage costs and monitor inventory to maintain profitability
- Participate in industry events and stay up-to-date with culinary trends to continuously improve the Catering offerings
What we're looking for
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role in the hospitality industry
- Formal culinary training and a proven track record of delivering exceptional dining experiences
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work under pressure
- Thorough understanding of food safety, hygiene, and cost control practices
- Passion for creating innovative and visually appealing dishes that showcase local and regional flavours
- Ability to work collaboratively with the HALAL management team and other departments
