Tooling Supervisor (Injection Molding)

Job Summary

The Tooling Supervisor is responsible to oversee plastic part production in the manufacturing department.

Job responsibilities:

• Coordinate the day-to-day activities of a team of production workers to ensure that manufacturing operations run according to established production specifications and schedules; volume, cost, and wastage targets; and quality standards.
• Supervise and lead the tooling team to ensure all tools and molds are maintained and repaired effectively and provide technical guidance.
• Plan and supervise production operations and ensure production schedules are met.
• Ensure that required manpower, equipment and raw materials are sufficient to meet production needs.
• Continuously to provide support and training to subordinates to improve their job performance and productivity.
• Analyze mold failure data to develop effective repair and improvement strategies.
• Coordinate with vendors for external tooling services or repairs when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of tooling inventory, repairs, and maintenance schedules.
• Ensure employee compliance with workplace policies and SOP according to safety requirements & objectives.

Requirements:

• Possesses at least a SPM / Diploma in Engineering or equivalent or a minimum 5 years of working experience in injection mold department especially in tooling.
• Experience with plastic injection-molding machines and processes, preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to be part of team in order to produce quality materials within tight timeframes
• Experience working in fast pace, high change environment, with limited supervision.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
