Newborn Assessment:Conduct thorough assessments of newborns to monitor their health and development.
Monitor vital signs and identify any signs of distress or abnormalities.
Feeding Support:Assist mothers with breastfeeding techniques and provide guidance on formula feeding if necessary.
Monitor and document the infant's feeding patterns and intake.
Diapering and Hygiene:Perform diaper changes and maintain proper hygiene for the newborn.
Educate parents on diapering techniques and skincare for the baby.
Medication Administration:Administer medications as prescribed by the pediatrician.
Monitor for potential side effects or adverse reactions.
Monitoring Growth and Development:Track the baby's growth parameters, including weight, length, and head circumference.
Assess developmental milestones and report any concerns to the healthcare team.
Family Education:Provide parents with education on infant care, including safe sleep practices, bathing, and general hygiene.
Offer guidance on recognizing and responding to common newborn issues.
Emotional Support:Support parents in adjusting to the challenges of caring for a newborn.
Provide emotional support and reassurance during times of stress or uncertainty.
Collaboration with Healthcare Team:Work closely with pediatricians, lactation consultants, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for the newborn.
Communicate effectively with the healthcare team to address any concerns or changes in the baby's condition.
Care Planning:Contribute to the development of individualized care plans for each baby, considering their unique needs and medical history.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to update and modify care plans as needed.
Patient Advocacy:Advocate for the needs of the newborn and their family within the healthcare setting.
Ensure that parents are informed and involved in the decision-making process regarding their baby's care.
Infection Control:Implement and adhere to strict infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infections in the neonatal care setting.
Educate parents on proper hand hygiene and infection prevention measures.
Emergency Response:Be prepared to respond to emergencies and provide immediate care to stabilize the newborn.
Collaborate with the emergency response team when necessary.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,300.00 per month

License/Certification:
- Certified a Malaysian Nursing Board with valid APC (Required)
