The primary role of Facilities Management function is to efficiently manage the operation of ResMed’s facilities to minimize operational and life cycle costs. Key deliverables include providing safe, effective, efficient and responsive services to all areas of the business, covering facility, production and IT services. Providing asset and maintenance management of electronic and software based technological systems required to manage and monitor buildings, plant and equipment or provide services to staff, visitors and contractors.
Let’s talk about Responsibilities
You are a key member in Facilities Dept, responsible for the facilities operations of soft, hard & technical services, to achieve the company’s goals and objectives with respect to:
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on facility hard & technical services i.e. Mechanical and Electrical services meets quality, regulatory, safety and operational requirement. This include supervising, monitoring. coordinating and keeping necessary records associated with ACMV & Exhaust system, Electrical, Fire protection system, Plumbing & Sanitary, CDA, C&S, Utilities, Environmental and general building works (Any additional assignment as requested by the Head of Department).
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance facility soft services meets quality, regulatory, safety and operational requirement. This includes supervising, monitoring, Coordinating and keeping necessary records associated with operation and maintenance of Housekeeping, Pest Control, Security services (including card access system & CCTV), Audio Visual Systems, Elevators, CEMS, Space planning, Building and Structures, Offices furniture, Events management, Waste and Environment matters, etc (Any additional assignment as requested by the Head of Department).
- Responsible for day to day operations and monitoring of all facilities’ equipment to minimise downtime.
- Maintenance of building’s facilities operations and provide technical input on gaps/improvement.
- Carry out troubleshooting/repair to electrical and mechanical system, general building works as well as handyman tasks.
- Coordinate, supervise and follow-up closely with contractors on preventive maintenance and rectification to resolve facilities issues. This include job and service reports are carried out according to local regulatory & audit requirement (where applicable)
- Ensure preventive maintenance schedule of all facilities’ equipment is adhered and completed, which include contractors adhering and delivering their services.
- Conduct timely inspections of all facility & building equipment(s) and ensure it’s proper functionality.
- Ensure all facilities’ equipment that require license/permit are timely renewed.
- Monitor facilities’ equipment spare-parts & inventory for timely replenishment.
- Raise Purchase Request (PR) for contractor or vendor service/ goods.
- Being the 1st line of responder on Prompt response to emergency calls in respect to facilities breakdown, that include after office hours presence to support operation and maintenance activities. 24/7 standby.
- Work closely with various function to meet quality, regulatory, safety, operation and maintenance requirement.
- Perform any other duties, responsibilities and projects as assigned.
- May require to work in rotating shifts. Support multiple ResMed Manufacturing sites in Malaysia.
Let’s talk about Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma in Engineering or Facilities Management, with 5-years working experience in/with manufacturing environment, property or Building/Construction Management discipline.
- Excellent Hands-on skills & experiences, with good technical knowledge of building operations, maintenance, and spares management.
- Proven technical experience including planning, supervising service providers/ contractors and achieving set target.
- Strong technical expertise and problem solving ability, in terms of facility Mechanical and Electrical systems.
- Working knowledge of ISO13485, ISO14001 and ISO45001 preferred.
- GMP practices or cleanroom/controlled environment operation preferred.
