CIVIL & STRUCTURE ENGINEER (C&S)

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Design:

• Develop detailed designs for infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, water systems, and buildings.
• Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to create blueprints and technical drawings.
• Ensure designs comply with safety regulations, building codes, and environmental requirements.

Construction Management:

• Oversee the construction process to ensure that the design is being followed and the project is progressing as planned.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to resolve any issues that arise during construction.

Cost & Resource Management:

• Prepare project cost estimates and budgets, and ensure projects remain within financial constraints.
• Allocate resources, such as materials, equipment, and labor, in the most efficient manner possible.
• Negotiate contracts and oversee procurement of materials and services.

Technical Expertise:

• Provide technical guidance and engineering solutions during the planning and execution of projects.
• Perform technical calculations, including structural analysis and load assessments.
• Assess environmental impact and propose sustainable solutions for construction projects.

Risk & Safety Management:

• Identify potential risks and implement strategies to mitigate them during the project lifecycle.
• Ensure that safety procedures are followed on-site and that the project complies with all legal regulations and health and safety guidelines.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Prepare and present project reports to senior management and stakeholders.
• Maintain detailed records of project progress, budgets, and any changes to the original plan.
• Review and approve project plans, drawings, and material specifications.
