AirAsia X is seeking a dynamic Technical Services Engineer (System) to be part of the best airline team in the sky!

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for interior and mechanical system issues under ATA chapter 21, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, and 36.

  • Provide effective and efficient technical support to aircraft operations.

  • Prepare and issue the required technical documents in accordance with approved procedures and regulatory requirements.

  • Liaise with manufacturers, suppliers, aviation authority or any reliable sources to facilitate analysis of engineering issues.

  • Evaluate continuing airworthiness data and provide sentencing recommendation to Modification Evaluation Meeting for approval.

  • Provide approved data for technical instruction such as inspection, modification and repair which is not within the scope of any of manufacturer’s manuals.

  • Ensure all technical documents issued meet the requirements of the department’s approval system.

  • Assist Reliability section in conducting root cause analysis and provide remedies for excessive and abnormal wear, malfunctions or premature removals.

  • Undertake development study to improve aircraft dispatch reliability and provide recommendation as necessary.

  • Ensure sufficient skills are acquired and inform superior of required training to improve competency.

  • Responsible to undertake the necessary corrective and preventive action resulting from compliance monitoring and audit program findings.

  • Responsible for the development of Minimum Equipment List (MEL) and Flight Test Schedule (FTS).

  • Responsible to prepare Flight Condition Document (FCD), Permit to Fly (PTF) and Ferry Flight Clearance application for submission to CAAM.

  • Manage and control EDTO Engineering Manual.

  • Conduct review meetings for EDTO.

  • Follow up on EDTO technical and flight operational matters.

  • Review Configuration, Maintenance, Procedure and Dispatch standards (CMP) related to EDTO.

  • Liaise with authorities related to EDTO compliance and certification.

  • Monitor aircraft modification related to EDTO.

  • Responsible to undertake the necessary corrective and preventive action resulting from compliance monitoring and audit program findings.

  • Any other relevant duty as assigned by the superior.

Qualification and Minimum Experience Requirements

Educational Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in any relevant Engineering disciplines from recognized institutions.

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience, preferably on Airbus aircraft.

  • Candidates with experience in project management, research and project development, or community work participation will have an added advantage.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Strong team player with the ability to work independently.

  • Willingness to work ad hoc or flexible hours to address aircraft defects or operational issues.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
