EQ Art Craft Teacher Assistant

We are hiring for 2 positions

4-6 year old class teacher (able to work Fridays)

7-12 year old class teacher (able to work Fridays)

Working Hours

• Wed 6:30 pm-9:30 pm
• Fri 6:30 pm-9:30 pm
• Sat 9 am-4 pm
• Sun 9 am-4 pm

(Any additional time is paid hours)

Skills

• Basic understanding of emotional intelligence concepts and their application in an educational setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to assist in engaging with students and supporting classroom management.
• Empathetic and patient in working with young children to help foster a positive and supportive learning environment.
• Ability to assist in implementing curriculum and planned activities under the guidance of lead teachers.
• Team player, approachable, and friendly when working with students and colleagues.

Qualities

• Passion for supporting emotional well-being and social-emotional learning in early childhood.
• Adaptability and creativity in assisting with lessons and activities that cater to different learning styles.
• Willingness to continuously learn and support the development of best practices in early childhood education.
• Familiarity with child-centered and play-based learning, eager to assist teachers in implementing these methodologies.
• Ability to incorporate emotional intelligence principles into daily classroom routines with the lead teacher's guidance.
• Willingness to collaborate with teachers and staff to create a holistic and nurturing learning environment.
• Team player who contributes positively to the overall school community.
• A basic understanding of child development and age-appropriate practices to support lead teachers effectively.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: RM8.00 - RM11.00 per hour

Expected hours: 14 – 20 per week
