OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE
The Alumni Impact Manager will support a thriving 400+ and growing community of Alumni to continue and amplify their impact in the mission after the Fellowship through overseeing strategic partnerships, insights, and development of the Alumni Community. The Alumni Impact Manager will also work with the Community Mobilisation team that aims to mobilize leaders into the movement of education inequity.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Spearhead concerted top down and bottom up systems change efforts through stronger organisational leadership by critically engaging in platforms such as the Extended Leadership Team (ELT) and Fellowship Leadership Team (FLT).
- Strategy
- Developing Alumni and Engagement strategy to align with the needs and direction of the Alumni Community towards achieving the mission.
- Thought-partner with the Head of Fellowship and Head of Community Mobilization to align with the direction of the 2030 strategy.
- Management and Team Development
- Embed the Alumni Impact strategy across the wider organisation and within the Alumni movement.
- Support and manage the knowledge management process for the Alumni Impact function.
- Ensure the Alumni Impact Senior Associate/ Associate and intern are supported in achieving their goals, in their work and for their personal development.
Develop system thinkers’ and leaders' knowledge, skills, and mindsets towards achieving our mission by working cross-functionally to prepare Fellows for professional steps post-Fellowship.
- Oversee and support the Alumni Impact Senior Associate/Associate in the professional development of second-year Fellows.
- Thought partnering and coaching the development of the Alumni Board.
- Strategically collaborate with other team leads on ways to continuously improve the readiness of Fellows post-Fellowship.
- Support Fellows and Alumni social innovation development through the incubation programme
- Support the professional development of Alumni in high-impact Alumni pathways within the education and social sector.
Facilitate and acquire insights into the Malaysian education landscape for the Alumni movement and the organisation by representing the organisation at key external discussions, roundtables, and education-related events.
- Build and maintain good relationships with members of the Alumni Community
- Driving the execution and analysis of the annual Alumni Survey
- Proactive engagement with key stakeholders and external organisations within and beyond Malaysia to promote Teach For Malaysia Alumni.

The Alumni Impact Manager is crucial in driving the following:
- Strategic Planning & Execution – Setting and driving the direction of the Alumni community to thrive towards continuous impact beyond the Fellowship
- Community Engagement – Maintaining and increasing participation of Alumni across various opportunities
- Stakeholder Management - Effective communication and management of various stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of the project. Effectively connecting Alumni to resources and opportunities.
- Monitoring and Evaluation – Effectively develop and execute impact measurement frameworks including data collection and analysis
- Project Management – Effective project coordination and implementation to ensure all project deliverables are completed on time with great quality

Years of experience & qualification
- Preferably at least 4 years experience in Alumni engagement or community building
- Bachelor's Degree

Language & Technical Proficiency
- Strong written and verbal skills and excellent proficiency in English and basic proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia
- Excellent proficiency in MS Word, Powerpoint and Excel
- Willing and able to readily adopt and utilise any TFM database or technological platform / application (i.e. Google Suites, Confluence, Salesforce, Zoom etc.)
