Job Summary

The Director Global Logistics and Inventory Management has overall responsibility for the storage, distribution and inventory management of raw materials and finished.

The Director will need to ensure the right products are delivered to the right location at the lowest cost. They will be involved in transportation, stock control, warehousing and monitoring the flow of goods. They will be responsible for the contract with all carrier and warehouse partners and tracking and reporting to budgets.

Responsibilities


  • Responsible for managing movement, tracking, warehousing and shipping of finished goods. Ensure all Supply Chain processes are efficient and maintain cost performance measures. (75%)
  • Determine logistics best practices to identify new and/or unique programs to differentiate Customer from the marketplace and drive customer satisfaction (10%)
  • Forecasts and recommends logistics budget for approval, including third party logistics, warehouse and freight spend. Monitors spending for adherence to budget, recommends variances as necessary (5%)
  • Oversee and drive required processes and training for import and export requirement globally. Also manage and maintain all product classification globally. (5%)
  • Responsible for inventory management compliance programs, excess and obsolescence management and factory safety stock administration (5%)

Minimum Qualifications


  • BS degree is required, MBA is desired.
  • 8+ years’ experience in manufacturing / operations, supply chain logistics, warehouse management and inventory management.
  • Experience in High Technology products as well as global experience with import/export compliance and product classifications.
  • Demonstrated application of Lean manufacturing techniques.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems.
  • Highly skilled project management and collaborative alignment capabilities. Ability to draw insights from data and develop collaborative solutions to supply chain challenges.
  • Self-starter that is able to multi-task, practices continuous improvement, and is detail oriented
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments and successfully manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously
  • Superior written, oral and presentation skills and an ability to synthesize information and make clear concise recommendations on course of action
  • Strong leadership skills
