RESPONSIBILITIES

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

Position Responsibilities: Tax

  • Work with management to generate quarterly work plans, Provide business reports to management and clients.
  • Guides technical team in the development reports, conversions, interfaces and extensions for Oracle Applications.
  • Lead and manage end-to-end implementations of Sabrix/OneSource Tax with Oracle eBTax.
  • Configure and customize Oracle eBTax to meet global tax compliance requirements, including VAT, GST, sales, and use taxes.
  • Collaborate with business users, tax, finance, and IT teams to gather and analyze requirements for tax determination and reporting.
  • Integrate Sabrix/OneSource Tax with Oracle Financials, ensuring seamless data flow and accurate tax determination.
  • Perform system configurations, setups, and testing to ensure the accurate functioning of tax rules and rates.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to tax determination, integration, and reporting in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that tax rules and configurations comply with local, state, federal, and international tax regulations.
  • Provide expertise on tax engine setup, workflow, and mapping within Oracle applications.
  • Conduct user training sessions and create documentation for tax system processes and best practices.
  • Support post-implementation activities, including system stabilization, ongoing maintenance, and updates based on evolving tax laws and regulations.
  • Understand and modifies the Application Configuration as required (includes system setups, flex-fields, workflow builder, custom library, profile options etc.).
  • Provide leadership for functional solution design.
  • Coordinate work efforts with the DBA and middleware teams for application change controls and system performance issues.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment and to lead and influence cross-organizationally with and without direct authority.

QUALIFICATIONS

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

1.FORMAL EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.

2.KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of experience in implementing Sabrix/OneSource Tax with Oracle eBTax.
  • Experience with global indirect tax regimes (VAT, GST, sales tax, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Oracle R12 and Oracle Fusion Cloud tax modules.
  • Strong understanding of tax engine integration with Oracle ERP and associated modules (AP, AR, OM, PO, GL).
  • Experience with testing, troubleshooting, and supporting tax engines post-implementation.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise between technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Project management experience and familiarity with Agile methodologies.
  • Professional certifications related to Oracle or tax systems are a plus.
  • Knowledge and familiarity in underlying Oracle ERP applications database architecture, as well as Oracle database and development tools (PL/SQL, SQL Plus, Forms, Reports, Data modules).
