The Talent Acquisition Lead for Malaysia plays a crucial role in Singtel’s Global Talent Acquisition team. This role is essential for delivering a comprehensive talent acquisition experience for Singtel’s business units in Malacca and Kuala Lumpur (KL), Malaysia. These business units encompass CBS & Networks in Malacca, as well as Singtel’s Malaysia Shared Services, which includes the Regional Technology Delivery Center, GCCO, GCFO, Legal, and Procurement in KL.
The main responsibilities of this role include attracting top talent to support the growth of our Malaysia business units, building a strong employer brand, collaborating with educational institutions as necessary, ensuring proactive recruitment, establishing talent pipelines for current and future staffing needs, and assisting in the onboarding process for all new hires in Malaysia. Additionally, the role involves directly managing 2 Talent Acquisition Managers and providing managerial and coaching guidance to ensure operational recruiting excellence.
Make an Impact by:
- Take ownership of the end-to-end Talent Acquisition process in both locations in Malaysia.
- Drive sustainable talent acquisition strategies and provide high-quality recruitment advisory to line managers for core recruitment and leadership roles.
- Enhance and deepen sourcing channels and platforms to build candidate pipelines. Lead Talent Mapping request and provide talent insights to drive more targeted sourcing activities.
- Lead and drive continuous improvements across recruiting processes, tools, and technology.
- Team leadership and management. Inspire, lead, and develop a team of 2 to drive efficiencies and to be accountable for achieving hiring targets and KPIs.
- Business partner with the Senior Level Leadership team to understand their business complexities, define the most appropriate way forward to achieve efficiencies in hiring.
- Conduct regular meetings and weekly updates with BU Leads and senior leadership to address any recruitment gaps and improve hiring strategies in their BU.
- Collaborate with the People and Culture Lead to identify current external and internal talent gaps within the organization. Recommend and drive the right sourcing strategies including but not limited to MCR hiring campaigns, Work Study Programs, Internships, Employee Referral Campaigns, and Recruitment Marketing campaigns on social media.
- Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition Attraction team to drive employer branding and value proposition stories. This includes but is not limited to campus outreach, career fairs, and employee stories to showcase Singtel Value Proposition.
