Position Title: Procurement Assistant

Location: Hicom Glenmarie, Shah Alam, Selangor

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist with sourcing, cost negotiations, credit terms, and buying of raw materials, consumable items, spare parts, etc.
  • Screening quality and specification of goods delivered and costs charged by the suppliers.
  • Reviewing purchase requests and preparing purchase orders for suppliers.
  • Assist in maintaining a full record and coordinate with various suppliers as well as compare costs for purchasing requisition within the organization.
  • To maintain proper records of purchases, quotations, supplier information, and other related documentation.
  • Follow up closely with the shipping and forwarding agent on all the import shipments.
  • Provide product costing for the sales team and time-to-time update costing.
  • Handle other ad-hoc matters from time to time assigned by the superior.

Qualifications & Experiences Needed

  • Team-work oriented, high level of integrity, with the capacity to work independently.
  • Ability to work under pressure, and complete tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Good writing, communication, and negotiation skills with a positive attitude.
  • Computer literate, especially in MS Office applications and the Internet.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Word processing, spreadsheet management, and database management experience.
  • Language proficiency: English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
