Urban Solutions ensure that city engines are optimised to achieve resilience and improve quality of life. This position requires the team members to drive innovative, experimental solutions to complex urban challenges through multi-disciplinary, people-oriented, and occasionally unconventional approaches.
Based in Kuala Lumpur, Think City’s Urban Solutions Manager is responsible for leading and managing programme as assigned by the Programme Director and ensure programme are delivered up to the desired quality and efficiently.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
1. Placemaking project management
- Support the team in any placemaking tasks, projects or programmes in Kuala Lumpur and/or other cities as and when required. This may include but not limited to conceptualising, developing placemaking strategy, delivering public realm improvement, space activation programme, stakeholder and community engagement, advocacy works, knowledge sharing and other placemaking initiatives through evidence-based approach and participatory process.
- Work closely with Programme Director and the team to ideate and ensure innovation and continuous improvement throughout the placemaking process.
2. Strategic planning
- Lead the team in conceptualising and developing diverse evidence-based strategic and tactical planning and policies, such as strategic master plan, area improvement plan, TOD, placemaking strategy and so on.
3. Stakeholder engagement and management
- Ensure effective communication and maintain positive internal and external stakeholder relationships while upholding the company’s values.
4. Talent Management
- Lead project teams including being responsible for team well-being
- Coach and mentor Think City team members and external stakeholders to develop technical and soft skills
5. Business Development and Innovation
- Develop and support proposals for external clients/stakeholders including scope, budget, and timeline
- Ideate, explore, and develop innovative projects to support Think City’s internal research and innovation
- Advocate Think City’s value proposition to potential clients (e.g., through presentations, thought leadership development)
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Minimum Qualifications
- Relevant qualifications in the field of Urban Studies OR Social Sciences OR,
- Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Landscape Architect or Design
Minimum years of experience
- Minimum 5 - 8 years of working experience
