The Project Associate is responsible for carrying out specific tasks assigned by the Programme Manager to enable the team to meet its targets and meet its key performance indicators. The Project Associate also ensures that projects are implemented efficiently and effectively; the implementation process is documented, and projects are carried out within the specified budget & timeline.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Discusses implementation plans with the Programme Manager for assigned projects, setting objectives, targets, and schedules, while supporting various work streams across the Seberang Prai Project and assisting with project management, reporting, and administration.
  • Contributes to the Vision Plan for the Seberang Prai coastal area, implements environmental and conservation initiatives for mangrove areas, administers the Grant Programme for small township revitalization, and engages with local communities, governments, and community-led groups.
  • Ensures that the Programme Manager is informed about project partners' and grantees' capacity, needs, and challenges, while also ensuring that all vendors comply with Think City’s internal standards for quality delivery and brand fulfilment.
  • As a front liner, ensures effective project implementation with partners and grantees, establishing mutual objectives at the beginning of each project.
  • Assists the Programme Manager by maintaining a regular logbook that describes the different stages of a project, alerts the Programme Manager to immediate threats that may negatively impact the implementation schedule, and ensures that partners and grantees document the various phases of a project.
  • Takes photographs and composes short reports for any events associated with the project.
  • Attend meetings, workshops and other related activities associated with a particular project to ensure effective communication.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Degree or Diploma or related disciplines
MINIMUM YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:

  • 2-3 years of work experience
  • Exposure to community-based or not-for-profit activity
