  • Plan and execute audit engagements (i.e. reviews of the control environment encompassing governance, risk management and internal controls) according to audit methodology and stipulated timelines.
  • Evaluate the adequacy of control designs and operating effectiveness of the internal control processes, and compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies and procedures.
  • Propose recommendations to address control weaknesses and process improvement.
  • Prepare audit reports and conduct closing meetings with audit clients to communicate audit results and discuss audit issues.
  • Track audit issues and remedial actions until closure.
  • Participate in cross-department and cross-border audit engagements, where relevant.
  • Partner business and support units in promoting a strong risk and control culture via provision of advisory and participation in projects or reviews.
  • Acquire auditing skills and further develop new skill sets and knowledge needed for the future.
  • Steer and support key initiatives on audit analytics, as well as audit methodology and practices.

Qualifications

  • At least a degree holder in Banking, Finance, Accounting or other related qualifications.
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in financial institution, particularly in internal audit, credit risk management, credit operations, wholesale/consumer business control functions, finance or other related areas, including external audit.
  • Good command of English (spoken and written).
  • Possess strong analytical and interpersonal skills and able to work well in a team and deliver effectively under pressure.
  • Knowledge of data science, audit analytics, AI tools, Agile or experience in credit, risk management, consumer banking, operations or AML/CFT would be an added advantage.
  • Keen to seek personal development and pursue mandatory certification/ qualification.
  • Willingness to travel to outstation branches.
