Responsibilities:
- Preparation and submission of budgetary estimates from tender drawings, Bill of Quantities for all disciplines and costs estimation, progress claim, variation order, evaluation of claims, etc.
- Accountable for pre and post contract management, monitoring materials and construction cost, claim submission, site valuation, variation order and final accounts.
- Assist in operation matters on contractual issues and any other contracts administration duties related to QS.
- Monitor on amendments to the scope of works and conditions of contract, variation order and apply extension of time if necessary.
- Acquire quotation from contractor and suppliers for purpose of cost assessment, analysis or budgeting.
- Co-ordinate with client, consultant, suppliers and sub-contractors.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least Diploma in Quantity Surveyor or equivalent.
- Possess own transport and willing to travel.
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office application & AutoCAD).
- Excellent communicator and possess impressive numeracy skills to handle the financial and mathematical demands of the role.
- Proactive and ability to work on own initiative with minimum supervision.
- Able to prioritise and respond with appropriate level of urgency.
- Language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin (added advantage due to liaising with China client/main contractor).
