Safety & Health Officer - Sedenak

Job Scope :

• Develop, implement, and maintain site-specific safety policies, plan, procedures and HIRARC and all safety related documents.
• Work closely with project managers and teams to integrate safety practices into project planning and execution.
• Attend project meetings to provide safety insights and updates and present the HIRARC together with project team.
• Conduct PTT and regular site inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Organize and deliver safety training programs for contractors.
• Ensure that all personnel are aware of safety protocols and emergency procedures.
• Investigate accidents and near misses to identify root causes and prevent future occurrences.
• Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, training, safety matters and generate reports for management review.
• Stay updated on local, state, and federal safety regulations and ensure site compliance.
• Assist in audits and inspections by regulatory agencies/client/site requirements.
• Develop and implement emergency response plans and conduct drills.
• Coordinate with emergency services and ensure that first aid kits and safety equipment are readily available.
• Act as a liaison between project management, employees, subcontractors and external agencies regarding safety issues.
• Prepare and present safety performance reports to management.
• Promote a culture of safety and encourage employee involvement in safety initiatives.
• Recommend improvements to safety practices based on industry standards and best practices.
• Implementation of ISO45001

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or related field preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a safety role, preferably in M&E works / Data Center.
• Certifications: Certified and registered with DOSH (SHO – valid Green Book holder), auditor ISO45001 and lifting supervisor will be an advantage
• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to assess risk and implement effective safety measures.
• Very well experienced with construction site safety

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM7,000.00 - RM9,000.00 per month

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday

Experience:

• Safety Officer: 5 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Green Book Holder (Preferred)
