  1. Make sure the webpage is open.
  2. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, then click Security.
  3. Make sure the Enable JavaScript checkbox is selected.
  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching and Instruction: Design and deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and tutorials on various topics in English language, literature, and composition.
  • Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development and updating of the curriculum, incorporating relevant literature, language theories, and innovative teaching methods.
  • Student Assessment: Prepare and grade exams, assignments, and essays; provide constructive feedback to enhance students’ understanding and performance.
  • Academic Advising: Offer academic support to students, assisting them in developing effective study strategies and encouraging their academic progress.
  • Research and Scholarship: Engage in research activities to contribute to the field of English language and literature and support the institution’s academic standing.
  • Professional Development: Participate in workshops, seminars, and other professional development opportunities to stay updated on best practices in English education.
  • Departmental Contribution: Actively participate in departmental meetings, curriculum planning, and activities that support the goals and mission of the institution.
  • Community Engagement: Promote English studies through involvement in community outreach, departmental events, and student clubs or societies related to English language and literature.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: A Master’s degree in English, English Literature, Linguistics, or a related field (a Ph.D. or progress toward a Ph.D. is preferred).
  • Experience: Previous teaching experience at the tertiary level is preferred, with a strong understanding of English language and literature.
  • Knowledge: Expertise in literary analysis, writing, grammar, and language teaching methodologies.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to engage and inspire students.
  • Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with digital tools and online teaching platforms, such as [specify any preferred platforms or tools].
