Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute procurement plans in alignment with project schedules, ensuring cost-effective sourcing.
- Collaborate with various departments to forecast demand and manage inventory levels.
- Monitor market trends and adjust procurement strategies to achieve cost savings and operational efficiency.
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to establish mutually beneficial partnerships.
- Conduct supplier audits and performance assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and delivery timelines.
- Resolve vendor disputes and maintain strong relationships to foster long-term collaboration.
- Ensure adherence to company procurement policies, contractual requirements, and relevant legal regulations.
- Implement risk management strategies to address supply chain disruptions and mitigate potential project delays.
- Monitor procurement practices for ethical standards and ensure full compliance with corporate social responsibility (CSR) guidelines.
- Develop and manage the procurement budget, aiming for cost optimization without compromising quality.
- Track procurement costs and ensure alignment with project budgets; analyze expenditure to identify savings opportunities.
- Prepare regular procurement reports for management, detailing spending, supplier performance, and savings achieved.
- Work closely with operation departments to ensure materials meet specific technical and safety standards.
- Support project managers by providing timely updates on procurement status and addressing any material shortages.
- Identify and implement improvements to procurement processes, including automation and digital tracking solutions, to enhance operational efficiency.
- Develop a framework for continuous improvement and establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for procurement activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree in Business / Supply Chain Management / Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is a plus.
•At least 10 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the railway, construction, or infrastructure sectors.
•Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
•Familiarity with procurement software and ERP systems.
•Knowledge of industry standards, supplier management best practices, and compliance requirements.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
•Experience in procurement within large-scale infrastructure projects.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM15,000.00 per month
