We are seeking an experienced and strategies Procurement Manager to lead our procurement team, optimize purchasing processes, and build strong supplier partnerships.
Job Summary :
The Procurement Manager oversees the company’s purchasing activities, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring cost-effective procurement strategies align with business goals. This role is responsible for sourcing quality materials, negotiating favorable terms, and maintaining optimal inventory levels. The Procurement Manager plays a critical role in supporting production and operational efficiency, while ensuring compliance with company policies and sustainability standards.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Sourcing, Vendor Management & Supplier Relationships
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to identify reliable suppliers, negotiate favorable terms, and manage vendor performance to ensure high-quality goods and timely delivery. Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers for long-term partnerships. Conduct regular supplier performance evaluations.
2. Manage Purchasing Operations
- Oversee daily purchasing activities to ensure all items meet required standards, specifications, and are delivered on time in the correct quantities. Track and report key functional metrics to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve operational efficiency. Continuously enhance purchasing systems and processes to support the company’s strategic goals.
3. Cost Optimization & Budget Compliance
- Analyze purchasing data to identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure procurement activities align with budgetary goals.
4. Inventory Management & Demand Forecasting
- Collaborate with manufacturing and warehouse teams to forecast demand, maintain optimal stock levels, and minimize stockouts or overstock situations.
5. Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical procurement standards. Conduct risk assessments to mitigate supply chain risks.
6. Continuous Improvement & Technology Integration
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency. Leverage technology to streamline procurement processes and reporting.
7. Team Management
- Coach and mentor the procurement team, promoting skill development and career progression. Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Job Requirements & Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field:
Certification. (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) are a plus.
2. Minimum of 8-10 years in procurement, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial capacity, preferably within manufacturing or industrial settings.
3. Strong expertise i procurement principles, vendor management, and cost optimization.
4. Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills, with proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP Business One).
