Job Description:
We are seeking a Competent Electrical Engineer / Electrical Supervisor to oversee electrical installations and ensure compliance with the Electricity Supply Act 1990 and Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) Regulations 1994. The successful candidate will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and reporting on electrical systems, including 415V low-voltage (LV) or 11kV high-voltage (HV) equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections of electrical installations, including HV and LV switchgears, generator sets, earthing systems, and fire safety systems.
- Prepare detailed reports on equipment conditions, identifying defects and areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with Suruhanjaya Tenaga regulations, standards, and good engineering practices.
- Provide expert advice on the safe operation, maintenance, and repairs of electrical equipment.
- Submit inspection reports (e.g., Borang 1 Perakuan Pemeriksaan) to Suruhanjaya Tenaga and the client.
- Offer advisory services on engineering standards, electrical codes, and safety regulations.
- Supervise electrical systems and troubleshoot any deviations or issues that arise.
Qualifications:
- Must be a registered Competent Electrical Engineer / Electrical Supervisor with Suruhanjaya Tenaga.
- Strong knowledge of 415V LV and 11kV HV electrical systems.
- Proven experience in conducting electrical inspections and preparing detailed reports.
- Familiarity with the Electricity Supply Act 1990 and ST Regulations 1994.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and electrical regulations.
- Good communication skills to liaise with clients and government agencies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
