Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent professional qualifications.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
- Handling full set of accounting functions for the Company.
- Maintaining of a proper and efficient general ledger including fixed assets, account payables and account receivables sub-ledgers.
- Supervising daily cash flow and related activities for the Company.
- Production of an accurate and timely periodic financial and management reports, including audited and other regulatory reports.
- Ensuring conformance and compliance to the Company's financial policies and all statutory and accepted account standards.
- Performing bank and key account reconciliations timely.
- Performing tax functions including annual corporate tax returns, tax estimation, tax payments, SST filings, transfer pricing documentation, liaising with external tax consultant and tax authorities.
- Preparation of internal and external reports, budget and forecast.
- Manage or support key projects at departmental and cross-departmental level.
- Any other ad-hoc tasks assigned by the superior/s from time to time.
Job Specifications:
Experience
Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent professional qualifications.
- Minimum 5 years working experience in financial services (insurance, investment banking, finance, unit trust management or asset management).
- Responsible for month end closing activities, reviewing, maintaining the accounting books, intercompany and company expenditures, reporting, analysis and taxation matters.
- Strong knowledge in management accounting and double entries.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office Applications – MS Excel (advance level), MS Word and MS Power Point.
- Knowledge/experience in Sun and/or Oracle Accounting system would be an added advantage.
- Good analytical, problem-solving skills and resourceful.
- Must be independent, initiative, and have high level of integrity.
- Result oriented and proactive.
- Organised and accurate.
- Familiar with financial and capital markets and instruments.
- Strong interpersonal skills and able to interact with people at all levels.
- Team player with the ability to coach and educate others.
