What is a Media Sales Manager?
A Media Sales Manager in KOLs.Asia comprehensively understands a company's offerings and expands its market reach, particularly in influencer marketing. This involves engaging potential clients through meetings and networking events, lead generation through cold calls, ,showcasing a clear alignment of client needs with the company's services. They craft tailored campaign proposals, present ideas, and manage client communication.
The manager collaborates with the Strat & Servicing team to translate client project briefs into actionable proposals, aiding the Campaign Management team's execution. Effective follow-up with clients on proposal feedback and sales quotations is also a key responsibility. This role demands a strategic mindset, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to transform client needs into actionable business strategies.
The Primary Responsibilities of Media Sales Manager:
- Gain a deep understanding of KOLs.Asia’s offerings, help broaden the company’s influencer marketing landscape and relate these mediums to key client verticals.
- Attend in-person and virtual meetings with potential clients during which you’ll show an understanding of clients’ business needs and their relation to KOLs.Asia services.
- Represent KOLs.Asia at networking events and similar as required.
- Prepare customized campaign proposals (budget options, influencer marketing strategy, content ideation and KOL recommendations), conduct presentations and demonstrations to potential clients.
- Take detailed briefs on projects from new clients in conjunction with colleagues in the Strat & Servicing, and turn them into an actionable project proposal for our Campaign Management team to execute.
- Follow up with clients on campaign proposal reviews and prepare sales quotations to confirmed campaigns.

Interested candidates are required to have a minimum of 2 years client-facing experience, developing digital/social strategies and campaigns in advertising, media, social or digital agencies.

The Ideal Candidate’s Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience in a business development or sales role within the advertising and/or media industry, with a proven track record of generating new business and achieving sales targets.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of the advertising and/or media industry, including trends, best practices, and key players in the market.
- Experience in developing and executing sales strategies, including lead generation, qualification, proposal development, and contract negotiation.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, including understanding their needs and providing creative solutions that meet those needs.
- Experience managing a sales pipeline and forecasting revenue, with a data-driven approach to measuring and analyzing sales performance.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including creative, strategy, and account management teams, to develop and execute client solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Mass Communication or a related field is preferred, but equivalent work experience may be considered.
