Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive safety, health, and environmental (SH&E) programs to promote a safe and sustainable workplace.
  • Direct the continuous improvement of operational excellence initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and quality across the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards related to safety, health, and environmental practices.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for SH&E and OE to drive accountability and performance improvement.
  • Collaborate with senior management and other departments to integrate SH&E and operational excellence strategies into overall business objectives.
  • Provide leadership, training, and support to staff at all levels to foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  • Manage incident reporting, investigations, and root cause analyses to prevent recurrence and improve safety systems.
  • Prepare and present reports on SH&E and operational excellence performance to executive management and external stakeholders.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging trends, and regulatory changes related to safety, health, and environmental management.

Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, ISO 14001, Six Sigma) are an advantage.
  • Over 10 years of experience in SH&E and operational excellence roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
  • In-depth knowledge of applicable SH&E regulations, standards, and practices.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful SH&E and continuous improvement programs.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Experience in conducting SH&E audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
  • Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
