Job Summary

As part of the Transaction Banking (TB) award-winning Global Content and Proposal Management Team, and reporting to Head, Global Content and Proposal Management, the Content Writer, will be a storyteller who understand market needs, collaborating with the team, Sales, RMs, and other key stakeholders to translate technical features or solutions into effective value proposition positioning statement and messaging, across all client segments within TB. The role will assist in the creation of sales enablement content encompassing case studies, industry decks, sales pitchbooks, award and RFP submissions. This includes translation of client-facing content from English to Chinese (Simplified Mandarin), as and when needed, and ensuring accuracy and consistency of translated content, in consultation with subject matter experts.

Key Responsibilities

You will:

  • Partner with deal owners and subject matter experts, together with the team, to co-create persuasive and compelling positioning and messaging for RFP proposals,
  • Support the team to proofread and edit proposal responses to improve client centricity.
  • Research and write copy, product description, and all internal and client facing content for TB.
  • Support sales initiatives, including but not limited to creating client use cases/case studies for client pitches and awards submission.
  • Ensure client use cases/case studies submitted are complete, comprehensive, tracked and properly administered.
  • Together with the Content Lead, manage the continuous improvement in content development efforts to ensure quality including and not limited to the maintenance of the content libraries.
  • Champion brand standards and guidelines for Transaction Banking, promoting application of best practices on all deliverables to drive consistency and in line with the Bank’s standards.
  • Actively keeping abreast of market trends, competitive intelligence, and industry best practices
  • Work in a group dynamic, and actively participate on any given project as the position evolves and as assigned by the line manager.
  • Take initiative and bring innovative ideas to the table.

Qualifications

  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with experience in creating, adapting, and unifying content.
  • Journalism, editorial or agency experience is an advantage.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skill in English. Mandarin proficiency is a plus.
  • Passion for storytelling and visual communication.
  • Ability to understand and translate complex concepts into clear, concise, and impactful communications.
  • Problem solving capabilities, creative thinker, and commercial mindset.
  • Ability to work in a multi-tasking environment and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, highly driven to produce results.
  • Client-focus/stakeholder management.

  • Knowledge of Transaction Banking products is a plus.

Professional

  • A degree holder, preferably in Banking, Business, Journalism, or Marketing/Communications
  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in the industry, including demonstrated success in an appropriate role.

Technical

  • Advanced experience in Microsoft Office Suite (in particular MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Excel)
  • Knowledge of graphic designing tools (added advantage)
