ROLE DESCRIPTION

As the Head of Product & Development at The Luxe Nomad, you will lead both the product and technical teams to deliver market-leading, customer-centric solutions that drive the company's growth. You will be responsible for defining the product vision and roadmap while ensuring seamless execution across product design, development, and operations. This role combines strategic product leadership with technical oversight to ensure that The Luxe Nomad continues to innovate and exceed customer expectations.

Specific responsibilities include:

Product Vision & Strategy:

  • Develop and communicate a compelling product vision and strategy that aligns with the company’s long-term goals,customer needs and emerging trends.
  • Identify market opportunities by conducting thorough market research, competitive analysis, and customer feedback loops.
  • Define a product roadmap that prioritizes features, optimizes resources, and aligns with business growth goals and timelines.

Product Development & Lifecycle Management:

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of products from ideation, prototyping, and development through to launch and post-launch optimisations.
  • Implement a data-driven approach, leveraging analytics, customer feedback, and A/B testing to validate ideas and refine the product continuously.
  • Ensure that the product development process integrates user experience (UX) and design thinking methodologies to enhance product usability, satisfaction and adoption in line with company CI.

Technical Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Oversee the development team, ensuring high-quality code, architecture, and technology standards are upheld while meeting timelines for deliver
  • Ensure product requirements are clearly communicated to the technical team, promoting synergy between product management and engineering..
  • Lead and mentor a team of product managers, designers, and developers, fostering a culture of ownership, innovation, and collaboration

Stakeholder Management & Communication:

  • Act as the key point of contact for product-related discussions, ensuring transparent communication between the product team and executive leadership.
  • Facilitate strong cross-functional collaboration with engineering, marketing, operations, and sales and executive teams to ensure product alignment with business goals and customer demands.
  • Present product roadmaps, performance reports, and strategic recommendations to the executive team and board of directors.

Customer-Centric Product Development:

  • Ensure that all products and features are designed to address key user pain points, providing value through intuitive, well-designed solutions
  • Gather and synthesize feedback from customers, partners, and internal teams to drive the continuous improvement of the product offering.
  • Leverage qualitative and quantitative research to understand customer behavior and incorporate insights into the product development process.

Product Performance & Metrics:

  • Define and track KPIs (user engagement, satisfaction, revenue impact) to measure the success of product launches, user engagement, and market performance.
  • Regularly analyze product usage data and feedback to iterate and optimise products post-launch, driving both user satisfaction and business growth.
  • Implement best practices in agile product development, ensuring timely delivery of product updates while maintaining flexibility in response to market changes.

Innovation & Competitive Positioning:

  • Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor products to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Identify new product opportunities, partnerships, and integrations that can drive innovation and create new revenue streams
  • Identify and recommend new technologies, tools, and processes that improve the product experience and enhance operational efficiencies

Risk Management & Mitigation:

  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with product development, including technical feasibility, market fit, and resource constraints, developing contingency plans as needed.
  • Manage risks without compromising the quality of product delivery or customer satisfaction by implementing thorough testing and validation processes.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in the travel or hospitality industry is a plus
  • Product Management: 6+ years in product management, with 3+ years in a leadership role, ideally within a tech-driven or property management-related industry.
  • Technical knowledge: Strong understanding of software development processes, architecture, and technical execution to effectively guide the engineering team.
  • Analytical mindset: Data-driven approach to product management, with experience in A/B testing, analytics, and product performance tracking
  • Customer Focus: Deep understanding of customer pain points and needs, with a track record of delivering customer-centric products
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
