About This Role

As a Finance Assistant, you will be responsible for handling the day-to-day tasks in the financial department. You will assist the Finance Executive in managing, processing and regulating various accounts and transactions as well as maintaining great financial records of Accounting Superhero.
You Will Work On
- Handling the day-to-day tasks in the financial department.
- Assisting the Finance Executive in managing, processing and regulating accounts and transactions as well as maintaining financial records of Accounting Superhero.
- Preparing financial reports and carrying out analysis to identify trends or areas needing improvement.
- Assisting the Finance Executive in company financial matters.
- Updating financial spreadsheets with daily transactions.
- Helping to process and prepare financial statements and balance sheets.
- Assisting in handling petty cash and submitting monthly reports to reviewers.
- Helping to prepare cash flow forecasts and budget and to create cost analysis reports.
- Assisting in handling GST accounting and computations and to report to tax & other authorities.
- Helping to deliver documents in person to government agencies when necessary.
- Helping to maintain fixed assets register and schedules as required from time to time for all internal accounts.
- Supporting payroll and reviewing and recommending staff claims.
- Assisting to record accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Helping to process, send and follow up on receipts, invoices and payments of clients.
- Helping to monitor and schedule payments to vendors (weekly, monthly, bi-annually, yearly).
- Providing basic Xero support, admin support and training to clients when needed.
- Assisting to liaise with auditors for internal accounts.
- Suggesting internal improvements in accuracy, efficiency, and reducing costs.
- Completing any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
- Diploma in Accountancy, Finance or other related fields.
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- Excellent working knowledge in MS Excel (using spreadsheets and financial functions) and accounting software.
- Work experience as a Finance Assistant, Finance Officer or other similar roles.
- Good understanding of data privacy standards.
- Familiarity with business principles and practices.
- Having good organizational, planning and time management skills.
- Having integrity and high attention to detail (ability to spot numerical errors).
- Possessing strong analytical, mathematical and problem-solving skills.
- Possessing solid communication skills, both written and verbal.
