Title: Senior Director of Key Account Sales – APAC (Telecom Software, 5G, Security)

Location: Remote, Malaysia

Our client, a global leader in cloud-native telecom software, is looking for a Senior Director of Key Account Sales to drive strategic account growth in APAC. This role focuses on expanding partnerships with leading telecommunications service providers, especially Tier 1 wireless carriers, and delivering results in the 5G and telecom security space.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Growth: Identify, qualify, and close new business and upsell opportunities to meet or exceed revenue goals. Focus on key accounts across SE Asia, such as Tier 1/2 carriers like Singtel, Telkomsel, Maxis, AIS, Globe Telecom and Smart Communications, to expand strategic partnerships and drive new business.
  • Account Strategy: Develop and execute strategic account plans that align with company goals and drive growth.
  • Customer Relationships: Build long-term partnerships with key decision-makers to understand and address their needs.
  • Forecasting: Provide accurate forecasts and regular updates on pipeline, targets, and account progress.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with Systems Engineering on technical needs and solutions, and with Support to resolve critical issues.
  • Market Insights: Share account and market insights with executives and teams to shape strategy.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Sales Leadership: Self-motivated with a proactive approach to finding new and upsell opportunities.
  • Strategic Communication: Strong communicator with the ability to share vision and plans clearly with customers and internal teams.
  • Collaborative Mindset: Skilled at leading and influencing cross-functional teams to achieve account goals.
  • Problem Solving: Analytical thinker with a systematic approach to challenges.
  • Experience: 10-20 years in field sales, with a background in telecom or carrier-class technology and a network within Tier 1 / 2 wireless carriers, especially within the SE Asia market.

This role carries a quota and requires excellent communication skills to convey the business value of technology solutions to top-level telecom executives across the region.
