IBM AS400 COBOL - As an Entry-Level to Mid-Level Application Developer, you'll use your IBM AS400 COBOL expertise to design and implement effective banking solutions. Your day-to-day activities will involve developing, testing, and maintaining software applications, ensuring seamless integration with other IT components, and providing technical support to project teams. You should have advanced proficiency in IBM AS400 COBOL and intermediate proficiency in Build Management. You must also possess intermediate proficiency in Configuration & Release Management and Design & Build Enablement, and advanced proficiency in AS400 Programming. Develop and maintain software applications using IBM AS400 COBOL. Ensure seamless integration of software applications with other IT components. Provide technical support to project teams throughout the development lifecycle. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of software applications.
Additional Job Details:
• Perform the detailed design of application and technical architecture components.
• Develop common test data.
• Configure, build, and test the application or technical architecture components.
• Work with other developers, designers, and architects to make sure that the configuration and custom components meet application requirements and performance goals.
• Follow good security coding practices to ensure the application is free of most common coding vulnerabilities.
• Participate in code reviews.
• Inform the technical architect and project manager of any issues that may affect any other areas of the project.
• Participate in transitions of the application or technical architecture components to the testers.
• Fix any defects and performance problems discovered in testing. • Document the application to facilitate maintenance.
