About This Role
Reporting to the General Sales Manager, you will take a proactive approach to find new business opportunities by reaching out to existing distributors or potential new customers via phone calls, emails, Teams or other means. You will also build and foster good relationships with retailers and distributors to ensure business continuation.
Responsibilities:-
- Proactive and regular contact with all distributors and new customers to follow up on ordering, operations as well as new business building. Manage all orders and upload to portal for processing.
- Analyse the market, competition, technology and developments & identify potential customers; making cold calls for business opportunities.
- Data compilation and report generation i.e distributor stock holding and sell out data. Generate internal reports for the commercial teams to follow up.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders on ordering and logistic matters to ensure on time delivery in full.
- Effective communication on marketing promotion and sales activities via calls or emails to all customers.
- Regular communication with distributors’ sales reps; obtain feedback on results and compile the progress for review with GSM.
- Keep track of sales activities. Manage ROI and A&P documentation for claims; claim back from distributors for any activities that we have performed.
Requirements:-
- Minimum Diploma or above in Business Administration, Sales & Marketing or related field
- Minimum 5 years of relevant sales & marketing or business development experience
- Prior institutional experience in selling FMCG and/or consumer electronic products
- Hands-on approach with proven track record of success with the entire sales process from planning to closing
- Strong negotiation/influencing skills, communication skills and organisational skills
- Possesses analytical thinking skills and problem-solving capability
- Fluent in both written and spoken English and Mandarin as liaison with China counterparts is required
- Self-motivated, results driven, able to work under pressure
