Key Responsibilities

Financial Analysis:

  • Analyze to support profitability and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Perform financial modeling for investments and acquisitions.

Working Capital & Operational Efficiency:

  • Monitor inventory, receivables, and payables, analyzing variances.
  • Assess forecast accuracy and operational efficiency.

Internal Controls & Compliance:

  • Establish controls for accurate reporting and asset protection.
  • Ensure adherence to GAAP/IFRS and manage audit processes.

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare accurate financial statements and manage closing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and audit standards.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Lead budgeting efforts and analyze financial projections.
  • Monitor budget performance and recommend corrective actions.

Cash Flow & Treasury Management:

  • Oversee cash flow planning to maintain liquidity.
  • Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions.

Team Leadership:

  • Mentor and lead the finance team, overseeing payroll and accounts.

Process Improvement:

  • Document and enhance finance processes through automation.
  • Ensure finance systems are effective and current.

Key Requirements

  • Proven track record as a Financial Controller, Finance Manager, or in similar positions.
  • 8-10 years in finance and management within the Pharmaceutical or Manufacturing industry, particularly in finance and accounting.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA is a significant advantage.
  • Experience in creating or transforming finance functions, systems, and teams.
  • Strong understanding of local and international accounting principles, tax regulations, and reporting standards (e.g., US GAAP, SOX, IFRS).
  • Excellent analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving abilities. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and proficiency in accounting/finance software and ERP systems; SAP experience preferred.
  • Professional accounting designation (e.g., CPA, CMA, CIMA, ACCA) is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in English.Local languages are desirable.
  • This opportunity is available to individuals authorized to work in Malaysia.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM216,000.00 - RM264,000.00 per year
