Primary Responsibilities: 1. Quality Control Management: Supervise the daily operations of the QC team, ensuring adherence to company policies and quality standards. Develop and implement quality control procedures and protocols. Monitor and evaluate production processes to ensure consistency and quality of products. Ensure accurate recording and maintenance of Batch Manufacturing Record (BMR)s. 2. Product Inspection and Testing: Conduct routine and non-routine inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods. Carry out inspections on in-process products based on samples drawn from batch manufacturing. Utilize various testing methods and equipment to assess product quality, including physical, chemical, and sensory evaluations. Analyze and interpret test results and provide recommendations for corrective actions if necessary. Non-Conforming Material Management. Hold authority to withhold any non-conforming (or suspected non-conforming) material until required tests and inspections are completed and confirmed by the QA Manager. 3. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of quality control activities, including test results, deviations, and corrective actions. Prepare and submit quality reports to the Plant Manager and other relevant stakeholders. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and industry standards, including GMP, ISO, and other certifications. 4. Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in the QC processes and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions. Participate in internal and external audits and assist in the development of quality improvement plans. Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in quality control. 5. Team Leadership and Development: Train, mentor, and supervise QC team members, providing guidance and support as needed. Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth. Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members. Secondary Responsibilities: Sample Management: Ensure collection and retention of daily batch production samples. 2. Material and Product Handling: Issue reject/scrap notes for food products, incoming packaging materials, intermediate products, and starting materials. Ensure proper recording of on-hold or overproduced bulk products. 3. Ad hoc Tasks Perform any additional tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor or management. Minimum Requirement for this position Education: Bachelor's degree in science, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or a related field. 2. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control, preferably in the skincare, cosmetics, or pharmaceutical industry. Experience in a supervisory or leadership role is an advantage. 3. Technical Skills: Proficiency in laboratory testing methods and equipment. Strong knowledge of GMP, ISO, and other relevant quality standards. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 4. Soft Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
